What is the Limenex Lite designed for?
It was developed for entertainment venues where there may be a noise issue but the local authority has not required the installation of a noise limiter. It’s also perfect for health & safety use in industrial environments.
How does it indicate noise levels?
The Limenex Lite indicates the sound level relative to your preselected maximum or reference level using ultra bright coloured LEDs and an optional app.
Can I choose the reference/maximum noise level?
Yes. The reference level can be set anywhere in the range 60–120 dB .
How is the reference level adjusted?
It is adjustable in 1 dB steps via the app (factory setting: 85 dB ).
What do the LED colours mean?
It uses four clusters of high intensity LEDs (Green = -9dB, Amber = -6dB, Orange = -3dB, Red = Too Loud) that light as the noise level approaches your chosen maximum.
What is the accuracy?
Accuracy is ± 1 dB .
How is it powered?
Powered using a 5 Volt USB mains adaptor (supplied). The unit may be situated almost anywhere and can be wall mounted using screws or double sided sticky pads.
Is any mains wiring required?
No mains wiring is required (quick & simple to install).
Can it be used with a power bank?
Yes. It may be used with a power bank for totally portable operation.
Is remote monitoring available?
Optional remote monitoring in near real time is available with “Too Loud” push notifications via the app.
How much does remote monitoring cost?
The first two months are free. Thereafter it is £3.50 + VAT per month .
What weighting options are available?
The app lets you select A, C or Z weighting for health & safety or noise nuisance use.
Where can it be used?
It is ideal for use in factories, warehouses, sawmills, machine shops, vehicle repair centres and many other industrial and commercial applications. It is also designed for entertainment venues, such as pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants. Also suitable for schools and colleges to warn students and staff when noise levels are too high, especially in music rooms. The Limenex Lite can be used in Airbnb, hotels, and guest houses where noise needs to be kept below a specific level to avoid nuisance for other guests or neighbours.
